The pattern includes points of interest of which the following are just a few:

Kissing the Blarney Stone

A tradition that’s been around for several centuries. Kissing the Blarney Stone gives a person the gift of eloquence and persuasiveness. This is the gift of the gab, but something that the Irish are renown for around the globe.

The iconic stone is set in a wall of Blarney Castle, constructed in 1446 by Dermot McCarthy, king of Munster, on the site of a demolished 13th century castle.

Bantry Bay Mussels

Bantry Bay (Irish: Cuan Baoi / Inbhear na mBárc / Bádh Bheanntraighe) is a bay located in County Cork, Ireland. The bay runs approximately 35 km (22 mi) from northeast to southwest into the Atlantic Ocean.  It is approximately 3 to 4 km (1.8 to 2.5 miles) wide at the head and 10 km (6.2 mi) wide at the entrance.

The bay is a deep (approx 40 metres in the middle) and large natural bay, making it ideal for all types of fishing for which it has a vibrant community.

It is this beautiful marine environment that makes Bantry Bay Mussels so delicious and popular not just in Ireland but worldwide.
